DELTA Pro 3 vs DELTA 3

Two ways to plan backup power. Compare the details that matter to your home.

EcoFlow

DELTA 3

Where it fits

Selected 120 V essentials after checking running watts, startup demand, and daily energy.

When to consider another option

Loads requiring 240 V or more than the continuous output rating.

More fit considerations

Other situations to consider

  • Households that need a portable unit and can recharge between interruptions.
  • Readers comparing documented transfer behavior with their actual equipment requirements.

Other reasons to choose a different setup

  • Long outages without sufficient battery capacity or a dependable recharge plan.
  • A different variant if your charging requirement exceeds the base model’s documented solar input.

Manufacturer specification record · No hands-on testing · Source records checked on 2026-10-04

Compare the 4,096 Wh, 4,000 W, 120V/240V DELTA Pro 3 against the 1,024 Wh, 1,800 W, 120V DELTA 3 across capacity,stair portability, solar input, and panel integration.

How the options differ

Different households can reach different answers

We compare the US models using their manufacturer specifications and manuals, then interpret the differences for household backup planning. We have not tested either unit. Capacity is nominal battery energy, not measured AC output. We do not rank by commission, current price, star ratings, or advertised boosted-power modes. Per-field source dates appear in the specification table.

Best fit by need

  • You need 240 V output, 4,000 W continuous power, or multi-kWh transfer-switch backup: Examine EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3

It is the only station in our catalog with documented 240 V output, 4,096 Wh base capacity, and 2,600 W solar input, provided you can stage a 113.54 lb unit on level ground.

  • You need a carryable 120 V station for a refrigerator, CPAP, and router: Examine EcoFlow DELTA 3

At 27.6 lb and 1,024 Wh, DELTA 3 is built for plug-in 120 V room essentials without electrical panel work.

  • You want another 120 V 1.1 kWh point of comparison: Compare BLUETTI AC180

    AC180 provides 1,152 Wh and 1,800 W continuous 120 V output at 35.27 lb.

Stored energy Differs
Nominal capacity, before reserve and AC conversion losses.
Continuous AC output Differs
The running-load limit; check motor startup separately.
Base-unit weight Differs
Consider stairs, storage, and who will carry it.
Solar input ceiling Differs
An input limit, not a promise of real solar production.
500 W Exact-model manual (EF-DL-H10-3) specifies 500 W maximum; EcoFlow's product page mixes series-level DELTA 3 Plus details, so confirm the model label before applying this value. Source · checked 2026-10-04 (opens in a new tab)
US AC voltage Differs
Must match the appliance and connection requirements.
120 V only documented US/CA model AC output is 120 V. Source · checked 2026-10-04 (opens in a new tab)
120 V only documented AC180-US output is 120 V. Source · checked 2026-10-04 (opens in a new tab)
Expanded capacity Differs
Requires the manufacturer's compatible extra batteries, sold separately.
12,288 Wh maximum Single-unit maximum with two separately sold compatible extra batteries. Source · checked 2026-08-20 (opens in a new tab)
Not documented Manufacturer lists compatible extra batteries and markets expansion up to 5 kWh, but this record does not establish an exact Wh ceiling for the standalone DELTA 3 configuration. Source · checked 2026-10-04 (opens in a new tab)
Not documented Manufacturer says external batteries can charge the AC180 in Power Bank Mode; its US product FAQ says this is not capacity expansion, so no expanded capacity is counted. Source · checked 2026-10-04 (opens in a new tab)

Criterion-by-criterion record

Compare columns. Swipe or scroll horizontally on smaller screens.
Criterion Why it matters EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 EcoFlow DELTA 3
Voltage class and continuous output 240 V well pumps, split-phase transfer switches, and heavy circuits cannot run from a 120 V-only station. 4,000 W continuous AC output (8,000 W surge) with 120 V / 240 V output support. 1,800 W continuous AC output (3,600 W surge) at 120 V only.
Base capacity and expansion ceiling Multi-day whole-circuit backup requires 4× to 10× more stored watt-hours than single-room appliance backup. 4,096 Wh base LFP battery, expandable up to 12,288 Wh for a single unit with two compatible extra batteries. 1,024 Wh base LFP battery designed for room-level 120 V cords.
Weight and physical staging A 113 lb wheeled chassis cannot be carried casually up apartment stairs during a blackout. 113.54 lb (wheeled floor unit; requires ground-level or ramp staging). 27.6 lb (hand-carryable between rooms or upstairs).
Solar charging ceiling Replenishing a 4 kWh battery requires a much larger PV input ceiling than a 1 kWh battery. Up to 2,600 W documented solar input ceiling. Up to 500 W documented solar input ceiling on the base EF-DL-H10-3 manual.

Before you order

Match the unit to your actual load

  1. Write down simultaneous running watts, the largest startup demand, and measured daily watt-hours. A larger Wh number does not raise the output limit.
  2. Check the exact US model and bundle. Panels, expansion batteries, and charging cables may be sold separately.
  3. Read the seller, return, and warranty terms for the listing you select. A manufacturer specification is not proof that every marketplace bundle is equivalent.
  4. Plan a test with your actual equipment before relying on it. Neither a brief UPS transfer time nor an advertised runtime guarantees compatibility with critical equipment.
