Last updated October 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Home Resilience Hub handles, why it is used, which service providers receive information, and what choices you have. It describes the site as it operates today.

Home Resilience Hub is operated by Pixelix Digital LLP. Home Resilience Hub is the consumer-facing publication; Pixelix Digital LLP is its legal operator.

Information you choose to provide

Contact messages

If you submit the contact form, you may provide a name, email address, inquiry type, and message. The form is processed by Formspree so the editorial team can receive and respond to it. Do not include sensitive medical, financial, identity, or emergency information.

Newsletter sign-up

If you choose to load and submit the newsletter form, Kit receives the email address and any other information shown in that form. Kit handles subscription delivery, unsubscribe requests, and related email records under its own terms. The Kit form does not load until you select the button that opens it.

Information handled automatically

The web host and network providers process ordinary request information needed to deliver and secure the site. This can include an IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals. Those providers determine their own security and operational retention practices.

Google Analytics and Tag Manager provide basic page measurement on the production site, with analytics storage denied before your choice and when you decline analytics cookies. In this mode Google may receive cookieless page and consent pings, including page, browser, device, timestamp, and network information. These are requests to Google even though analytics cookies are not read or written. Analytics page and referrer URLs exclude query strings and fragments.

If you allow analytics cookies, Google may use them and we record approved site interactions. Household inputs, calculator results, free text, and saved-plan contents are not included. You can block the site’s Google Analytics measurement, including cookieless pings, with the browser opt-out below. Google advertising requests remain governed by the separate advertising choices.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled as a separate, privacy-preserving performance baseline. Cloudflare describes this service as not using cookies or local storage for its Vitals Explorer surface and not fingerprinting visitors. Its edge beacon may load before an optional Google choice, but Home Resilience Hub does not send it calculator inputs, share state, household-plan contents, or free text. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for the provider’s current collection description.

The calculators otherwise run in your browser. When you choose to create a share link, the URL may contain the planning selections needed to recreate that result. Anyone who receives that link can read those values, so avoid sharing anything you consider sensitive.

Information stored in your browser

The My Household Plan, worksheet drafts, persistent checklists, and some interface preferences use local storage in your browser. Worksheet entries, saved checklist item identifiers, calculator summaries, displayed assumptions, and review dates can remain on that device until you clear the relevant draft or plan, or remove browser data. This storage is functional, stays in the browser under normal use, and does not require optional analytics consent. It is not an account, cloud backup, or secure record vault. Avoid putting names, diagnoses, account details, or other confidential information in a worksheet, especially on a shared device.

How information is used

We use information to:

  • deliver pages and protect the site;
  • respond to messages you submit;
  • deliver newsletters you request;
  • understand basic page activity through Google cookieless measurement, and content and tool interactions when analytics consent is present;
  • monitor aggregate page performance through the privacy-preserving Cloudflare Web Analytics baseline;
  • investigate errors, abuse, or security incidents; and
  • meet applicable legal obligations.

Google AdSense advertisements may appear on public pages. Google and its advertising technology partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, limit the frequency of, and—where permitted by law and your choices—personalize advertising based on visits to this site or other sites. Google may process device, browser, and page information for those purposes according to the choices and regional controls described below.

Current service-provider roles include:

  • the hosting and network providers that deliver and protect the site;
  • Formspree for contact-form delivery after you submit the form;
  • Kit for newsletter sign-up and delivery after you choose to load and submit its form;
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics for an aggregate, privacy-preserving performance baseline; and
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for cookieless page measurement, with analytics cookies and site interaction events only when you allow them; and
  • Google AdSense and Google Privacy & messaging, including Google advertising technology partners identified in Google’s regional privacy controls, for advertising and the related choices.

Articles link to government, manufacturer, standards, utility, retailer, and other external sites. Once you follow an external link, that site’s privacy policy applies. A normal external link does not mean the third party sponsors or controls Home Resilience Hub.

Advertising and AdSense

Home Resilience Hub uses Google AdSense for display advertisements that may appear on public pages. Advertising does not change our editorial standards or the availability of the site’s articles, calculators, worksheets, or household plan.

Google Privacy & messaging provides the advertising choices shown where required. In the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, visitors can consent, decline consent, or manage choices through Google’s message; Privacy settings can reopen that message when Google exposes a reopen option. In applicable US contexts, Google’s Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information control is separate: when Google shows it, close the site’s choices and use Google’s control. Privacy settings does not open a US confirmation dialog directly. These choices are separate from the site’s optional analytics preference.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ads Settings, which opens Google’s My Ad Center. Google’s regional message identifies the participating advertising vendors and provides their privacy-policy links in its partner list. Where Google exposes a reopen option, Privacy settings can reopen its regional message; in applicable US contexts, use Google’s Do Not Sell or Share control when shown. You can also visit the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out tool to opt out of participating third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising. These controls do not necessarily remove all advertisements.

Google explains how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services in its partner-sites privacy notice.

Retention

We keep information we control only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Formspree and Kit maintain the records they process under their own retention settings and policies; we do not promise a specific provider-retention period that the public site cannot verify. You can unsubscribe from newsletter email using the link in a message.

The site’s first-party analytics-preference cookies can remain for up to one year. Google Privacy & messaging manages advertising-choice signals under Google’s own settings and policies. Locally saved plans, worksheet drafts, and checklist progress can remain until you clear them on the site or remove browser data. You can change analytics through Cookie preferences. Privacy settings can reopen Google’s regional message when Google exposes that option; in applicable US contexts, use Google’s own Do Not Sell or Share control when shown. You can also remove site data through browser controls.

Turn off analytics for this browser

The separate browser opt-out below overrides an earlier Google analytics choice. It is useful for site owners, production testing, or anyone who wants the site’s Google page and interaction measurement, including cookieless page pings, stopped in this browser. Google advertising requests and publisher reporting follow the separate advertising choices. The privacy-preserving Cloudflare performance beacon is a separate edge service and is not controlled by this site-level opt-out. The setting lasts for up to one year unless you clear it.

Page and interaction analytics opt-out

Block this site’s Google page and interaction measurement, including cookieless page pings and analytics-cookie use. AdSense requests and publisher reporting follow the separate Google advertising choices. Local household plans and checklist progress are preserved.

Your choices and requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. The exact right and available exception depend on applicable law and our role in processing the information.

To make a request, use the contact page or email privacy@pixelixdigital.com. We may need to verify enough information to find and protect the relevant record. You can change optional analytics through Cookie preferences in the footer. Privacy settings can reopen Google’s regional message when Google exposes that option; in applicable US contexts, use Google’s own Do Not Sell or Share control when shown.

Children

The site is written for adults planning for a household. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the site, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to this site. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending confidential or emergency information through the contact form.

Some product links are Amazon affiliate links. If you choose one, Amazon receives the request to its site, including the affiliate tracking information in the link, and may use cookies or similar technologies under Amazon’s Privacy Notice. Those technologies and purchase attribution are managed by Amazon. Our site’s analytics preference does not control cookies on Amazon’s website.

Home Resilience Hub does not load an Amazon affiliate pixel or set an Amazon attribution cookie when you simply view our pages. If you allow optional analytics, we may record a link click using fixed identifiers for the product, merchant, page, and placement. We do not include the affiliate destination URL, household inputs, calculator results, or saved-plan contents in that event. Declining analytics does not prevent you from following a product link. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Changes and contact

We will update the date above when this policy materially changes. Questions, requests, or concerns can be sent through the contact page or to privacy@pixelixdigital.com.
